Allswell Journaling App – Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Allswell Journaling App, you agree to abide by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use immediately.

2. Eligibility

• You must be 18 years or older.
• You must be under active therapist supervision at Allswell.
• You must have agreed to using journal with therapist approval.

3. Use of the App

The journaling app is designed solely for personal reflection and therapeutic purposes.

You may not use the app for:

• Harassment, abuse, or sharing false/misleading information.
• Storing information on behalf of someone else.

4. Data Access & Privacy

Your journal entries are confidential and only accessible to you and your assigned therapist.

Allswell reserves the right to suspend or terminate access in cases of security concerns or misuse.

4.1 Mandatory Reporting (Important)

Allswell therapists are legally required to report certain information, even if it appears only in journal entries. This includes—but is not limited to—situations where your therapist becomes aware of:

• Imminent risk of harm to yourself (e.g., active plans or intent for self-harm or suicide).
• Imminent risk of harm to others.
• Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, vulnerable adult, or elder.
• Situations required by law or court order (rare but possible).

If concerning content appears in your journal, your therapist may:

• Reach out to you directly,
• Conduct a safety assessment, or
• Take legally required steps to ensure safety (including making a mandated report).

The journaling app is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, call 988 or emergency services.

5. Limitation of Liability

The journaling app is not a crisis service. If you are in distress, call a crisis hotline or seek immediate medical attention.

Allswell is not responsible for any emotional distress resulting from journal usage.

We do not guarantee data retrieval in rare cases of technical failure or service disruption.

6. Termination of Use

You may discontinue using the app at any time.

Allswell may terminate access for policy violations, security concerns, or misuse.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the changes.
